Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ListenR mobile application ("ListenR", "the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

ListenR is a language-learning application that helps you memorise vocabulary through audio-based active recall and a spaced-repetition system, including hands-free background playback. The App offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription.

2. Accounts and Access

• The App does not require you to create an account; your device is identified by a generated identifier.
• We reserve the right to restrict or suspend access to the App, in whole or in part, at any time and for any lawful reason.

3. Subscriptions and Payment

• ListenR Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's store account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
• Prices are shown in the App and may vary by region and over time.

4. Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a free trial of ListenR Pro. If offered, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically and you will be charged.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes, and not to: misuse or disrupt the service, place excessive load on our servers, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its content — including word lists, translations, audio files, graphics, and software — are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights and belong to ListenR or its licensors. Unauthorised copying, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.

7. Learning Content Accuracy

Word translations, definitions, and example sentences are produced with the assistance of AI tools and go through automated validation and human review. Despite these checks, occasional errors or imprecise translations may remain. We do not guarantee that all content is accurate or error-free, and the App should not be your sole source for critical language needs (such as exams, legal, or medical contexts). If you spot a mistake, you can report it directly in the App — reported issues are reviewed and corrected on an ongoing basis.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not responsible for disruptions caused by third-party services (such as OneSignal, RevenueCat, Sentry, or Azure).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ListenR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
